For the 100th birthday the company Gibson has come up with something very special and brought twelve of their classics in a special, limited edition of only 100 pieces each on the market. Among them is this beautiful 1963 Hummingbird. And the special thing about this guitar is that the first owner bought it in 1994 and then it remained unplayed in the case. A highlite for every collector. But also players will have their pleasure here: the instrument plays great and sounds fantastic! The specs: Spruce top, maple back & sides, 1960 style Heritage Cherry-Sunburst finish, original Peghead design and "Holly" veneer. The guitar has only two very slight weather-checking lacquer cracks due to age, which can never be avoided sooner or later on these models. Tonally it is very open and direct with pearly highs and a super response. Also great for fingerpicking. The neck has a pleasant medium profile. Top instrument with best value retention and top player characteristics!
