There are guitars that you can hear just by looking at them, their sound is so etched in our collective memory. One of these is B.B. King's “Lucille”. When you see this modified ES-355, you immediately hear the warm, singing tone that the master was able to get out of it with his incomparable vibrato. Of course the demands are correspondingly high when you pick one up yourself. However, this 2012 specimen should win over even the biggest B.B. King fan in no time at all. Like all “Lucilles” the black finished beauty comes with a tortoise pickguard and without f-holes. Its special features include not only a Varitone switch, but also a TP-6 finetuner tailpiece and a sophisticated “B.B. King” inlay on the headstock (which even distinguishes it from today's models, which have “Lucille” lettering on them). The neck is a real hand flatterer and is more on the stronger side. And then the tone! You don't have to look far to get *the* B.B. King tone. A clean amp and the Varitone switch in the first position are enough to make you want to start playing “Everyday I Have The Blues” straight away. The sound is very thick, warm, but always differentiated and with enough airiness for both chords and soloing. An absolute recommendation for all those who are still missing the ultimate Blues sound in their guitar stand. We can offer you this “Lucille” in excellent condition except for a few minor traces of use in the lacquer.
