It really is incredible what the guys at Murphy Lab deliver here in terms of aging and paintwork. Whereby the term "Ultra Light Aging" is almost an understatement. Just look at the back of the neck. This ES-355 looks so damn old that you really think you have a vintage ES in your hands. The first thing that catches your eye is the elegant Ebony finish, paired with countless hairline cracks and only subtle imperfections, which the Murphy Lab have meticulously applied here. A great vintage patina, a special treat to the touch and it also captures the natural aging process of the lacquer perfectly. The dark ebony fingerboard, the faux-tortoise pickguard, the block inlays and the yellowed binding round off the successful look. The neck has a Medium 59 profile, so it is by no means thick. It plays as if by itself! In terms of sound the guitar is in no way inferior to the look: beautifully round and percussive with a great attack, which is probably partly due to the solid ebony fingerboard. In general the guitar has a very characteristic tone that you can't get enough of. ...somewhere between an ES-335 and a Les Paul. We are delighted to be able to offer you this gem in top condition.
