The ES-355 is known as the queen of Gibson's semi-acoustic guitars. The 1959 version is basically identical in construction to an ES-335, but comes with classy features like gold hardware, triple binding, split-diamond headstock and ebony fingerboard. If you want to follow in the footsteps of B.B. King, Chuck Berry or Freddie King, there is no way around this model! We are happy to offer you a fantastically relicted example in the special color Watermelon Red from Gibson's Murphy Lab. Countless small hairline cracks cover the paper-thin nitro lacquer, the gold hardware is slightly tarnished and even the pickguard has already got a few scratch marks. Pure Mojo! According to the model, it comes with a great medium-59 profile, which should flatter almost any hand size. And sound-wise, it quickly becomes clear why good ES models are considered Les Paul killers: Just as fat and smacky as their solidbody sisters, but with that extra pinch of airiness in the sound that's a real joy not only on clean chords, but also on distorted blues riffs. The Unpotted Alnico III Custombuckers just do such a fantastic job here that we're not sure we could tell it apart from an "old" one with PAFs purely in terms of sound. Visually and sonically a guitar with absolute wow factor! We are happy to offer it to you in mint condition.
