Here we have a particularly beautiful semi-hollow from Gibson. Even at first glance the immensely pronounced flame on the top and back is impressive, as you rarely find such a striking look on ES-335s. But even “under the hood” we are dealing with a classy ES. "Calibrated T-Type" humbuckers are installed here, which enchant with beautifully warm and balanced sounds. Already very woody and resonant without an amp you can enjoy rich, but always open and airy sounds. With higher gain settings on the amp all classic sounds from Eric Clapton to Billy Gibbons and Gary Moore can be covered. The bridge pickup offers the clean “Tele on stereoids” sound of old bursts - fat, punchy basses and biting but never shrill highs. Depending on the attack intensity and gain setting the mids can range from restrained to bold. Simply a great mix! The neck with its “Rounded C” profile sits wonderfully in the hand, plays first-class and can therefore perfectly round off the great overall package.
