This ES-335 is the signature model of Trini Lopez, a Texan singer and guitarist with Mexican roots, who can be heard on more than 50 singles and 20 long-players. Based on scans of his original guitar the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville has produced a replica that has it all. From the '64 neck profile to the unique trapeze tailpiece, attention has been paid to every last detail and of course the selection of woods and materials has been carefully considered. Finished with an Ultra Light Aging by the Murphy Lab the semi-hollow comes in the most beautiful Ebony, covered with countless hairline cracks and only subtle quirks, as well as with an attractive cream-colored binding, which was made historically correct with old, restored machines from the 50s. The body and top consist of three layers (maple, poplar, maple) and the neck material is one-piece solid mahogany. The neck is extremely comfortable to play with its "Authentic '64 Medium C" shape and its deep, dark rosewood fingerboard with "Single Diamond Trapeze" inlays looks really good in combination with the color-coordinated Firebird headstock. The unpotted Custombuckers Alnico-III deliver a great tone! Super differentiated on the neck and beautifully bell-like without mud and mulch. Smacking at the bridge with an excellent response and direct reaction to every nuance of attack. Simply a soundmighty semi-hollow with pearly highs, pushing mids and a wonderful openness of sound! Perfect for differentiated Rock rhythm sounds as well as for singing lead sounds! We are delighted to be able to offer you this fantastic ES-335 in mint condition.
