Here we have something very special for ES lovers! The look of this guitar in Cherry Red with the Heavy Aging of the Murphy Lab is simply unique. Cherry Red, probably the most characteristic color for an ES-335, in combination with just the right amount of aging marks provides a truly gorgeous vintage patina. Partly a little matt, partly also greasy, all around a wonderfully "rocked" finish with countless hairline cracks, quirks and pronounced paint abrasion in the characteristic places. This is how you would imagine a genuine, old ES-335 that has seen several decades of hard use. A special visual and tactile experience! And this semi-hollow with its pleasant "Medium C" neck profile and the 22 Medium Jumbo frets is the very best to play. This joy of playing only increases when you hear its sound. Here it quickly becomes clear why good ES models are regarded as Les Paul killers: just as fat and smacky as their solidbody sisters, but with that extra bit of airiness in the sound, which is a real joy not only with clean chords, but also with distorted Blues riffs. The Custombuckers fitted here simply do such a fantastic job that you could be forgiven for thinking you were dealing with the sound of old PAFs.
