So this 1964 reissue model convinces with specifications that recreate every little detail of a real old one: starting with the selection of the woods and the use of hide-glue to the special manufacturing of the pickguard and soldering of the electronics to the historic binding, which is made with the help of restored machines from the 50s. Matching the authentic VOS finish in Sixties Cherry, the color that immediately comes to mind when thinking of ES guitars from the '60s - such as Eric Clapton's ES-335. The neck with its Authentic '64 Medium-C shape fits perfectly in the hand and guarantees the very best playability. And the unpotted Custombuckers Alnico-III deliver such a great tone! At the neck super differentiated without mud and mulch, nice belly with the very slight Strat-part that you know from old PAFs. At the bridge smacking with an excellent response and direct reaction to every nuance of attack.
