Here we have something very special for ES lovers! The look of this guitar in a traditional “60's Cherry” finish, wonderfully heavy-aged, is simply unique. Mainly due to the phenomenal wood grain of the top and body, which can be seen through the thin nitro lacquer finish (Extra Flame Figured Maple). This magnificent specimen is the result of the collaboration between Musikhaus Hermann and the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, where this instrument was crafted with the greatest attention to detail by long-standing employees. Great attention was paid to the selection of the woods, the choice of the right materials and historically correct features such as hide-glue, pearloid block inlays, original Kluson “Green Key” tuners and the use of old, restored machines. What is probably the most characteristic finish for an ES-335 shows exactly the right degree of signs of aging and a truly fantastic vintage patina with countless hairline cracks, quirks and pronounced paint abrasion in the characteristic areas. A special visual and tactile experience! And this semi-hollow with its pleasant 60 “Slim Taper” neck profile can be played at its very best. This joy of playing only increases when you hear the sound of the guitar. Just as fat and smacky as a Les Paul, but with a certain tonal lightness, so that you are wonderfully enchanted by both clean chords and slightly distorted Blues runs. The Custombuckers used here are consistently reminiscent of the sound of old PAFs and round off the fantastic overall package perfectly. We are delighted to be able to offer you this harmonious and exclusive instrument in top condition.
