If you don't want big dents and blemishes in your Gibson, but still don't want to do without a certain vintage patina, it's best to go for the Murphy Lab guitars with “Ultra Light Aging”. Here we have a beautiful '59 ES-335 with an elegant Ebony finish in exactly this degree of aging. The signs of aging are only really visible here at second glance and in the right light: the varnish is covered in hairline cracks, the plastic of the pickguard has a few “brushes” and the hardware is clearly tarnished. The result is a perfect vintage patina, not only visually but also haptically a special treat. And it's not just the exterior that gives this semi-hollow a real mojo but also its player qualities. A beautiful medium neck profile, not too fat or too thin, meets a fabulously good sound. The Custombuckers are wonderfully crisp in the attack, fat in the mids and super defined in the bass. These pickups really have everything you know and love about the sound of old PAFs. And because the guitar also has great resonance, you are really getting an ES-335 for life. So we are delighted to be able to offer you this great instrument in top condition with everything from the special look to the best playing characteristics to the killer sound.
