If you don't want any big dings and dongs in your Gibson, but still don't want to do without a certain vintage patina, it's best to reach for the Murphy Lab guitars with "Ultra Light Aging". Here we have a beautiful '59 ES-335 in Natural with exactly this degree of aging. The signs of aging are only really visible at second glance and in the right light: The finish is covered with hairline cracks, the plastic of the pickguard has some brushes and the hardware is clearly tarnished. Just enough to give the guitar that certain mojo! The guitar also has more than enough of that when it comes to player qualities. A nice authentic 50s neck, which is not too fat, meets the fabulously good sound of the Unpotted Alnico III Custombucker. Nice and crisp in attack, fat in the mids and super defined in the bass, these pickups bring everything you know and love from old PAFs. And because the guitar also resonantes fantastically, you really get an ES-335 for life. The icing on the cake here is the very pleasant weight of not even 3.6 kg.
