Here we have again something very special for ES lovers. This guitar in Cherry Red with the Ultra Heavy Aging of the Murphy Lab is a custom order, which is not available in the regular Gibson program. Its look is simply unique. Cherry-Red, probably the most characteristic color for an ES-335, in combination with the Ultra-Heavy-Aging delivers a dreamlike vintage patina, partly already a little matted, partly also greasy, a wonderfully "rocked" finish with countless hairline cracks, quirks and pronounced abrasion spots.This is how you would imagine a real, old ES-335 that has several decades of hard playing behind it. Visually and haptically a special experience! The Gibson Custom Shop has again paid close attention to the selection of woods and historically correct features such as Hide-Glue. And playing this ES with its "Authentic '59 Medium C" neck profile, the partially lacquer-free neck back and the 22 Medium/Jumbo frets is at its best. This joy of playing only increases when you then hear its sound. Here it quickly becomes clear why good ES models are considered Les Paul killers: just as fat and smacky as their solidbody sisters, but with that extra of airiness in the sound that is a real joy not only on clean chords but also on distorted Blues riffs. The unpotted Alnico-III Custom-buckers just do such a fantastic job here, you'd think you were dealing with the sound of old PAFs. So we are happy to offer you this coherent and exclusive complete package in mint, nearly unplayed condition.
