This square-shoulder dreadnought, handmade in Bozeman, MT, delivers a wonderful sound volume by building the body in the traditional way from spruce and maple, resulting in a warm and clear sound. The basses sound rich, clear and defined, while the trebles are lively without sounding sharp. The mid-range is full-bodied and well-balanced. This wonderful balance of frequencies makes the Dove perfect for studio and live situations. An L.R. Baggs VTC is also on board for stage use. In addition to the characteristic sound the look is also unmistakable. The elaborately crafted and hand-painted pickguard with the eponymous dove attracts everyone's attention, as does the curved bridge typical of the Dove, which is reminiscent of the wings of this bird. The enchanting “Split Parallelogram Inlays” made of mother-of-pearl are a perfect match. And thanks to its comfortable body shape and the pleasant “Rounded Medium C” neck profile you immediately feel right at home here.
