The history of Furch Guitars began long before the company was officially founded. In the 1970s Frantisek Furch, a metalworker by day and musician by night, was faced with the dilemma that there were no high-quality musical instruments available in what was then socialist Czechoslovakia. As importing an instrument from abroad was too complicated and expensive he drew on his skills as a metalworker and built his first banjo from an old drum. A few years later Frantisek also made his first acoustic guitar in the roundback style from an old piano. The reaction of other musicians to this guitar was so positive that Frantisek continued, which eventually led to the founding of Furch Guitars in 1981. The company now produces more than ten thousand instruments a year, which are sold on five continents. The Furch G24-DR Cutaway at hand immediately catches the eye as soon as you open the super compact Hiscox case. The top is made from the most beautiful, wonderfully grained redwood (from the sequoia tree), the back and sides are made from solid rosewood, the neck from mahogany. It is not only beautiful to look at, but also offers the very best sound qualities. This acoustic sounds incredibly balanced with a great response, clearly defined highs and basses. The sound is warm, rich and you can't get enough of it. But that's no problem at all as you can play this guitar comfortably for hours without getting tired thanks to its extremely pleasant medium neck profile. We are delighted to be able to offer you this fantastic instrument including the frets in top condition at a top price. An acoustic where everything is just right: killer look, top playability, dream sound, ...and the whole thing with a phenomenal price-performance ratio!
