As early as the mid-90s Fender had the idea of subjecting guitars to an artificial aging process in order to give the brand-new instruments the “look and feel” of old vintage guitars, the prices of which had begun to rise sharply in the meantime. And they have more than achieved this goal with this '61 Telecaster. As soon as you pick up the guitar for the first time you don't want to put it down. The neck with its stripped back, 9.5'' fretboard radius, the popular Narrow/Tall frets and “60 Style Oval C” profile plays first-class and has a phenomenal feel. The guitar is also visually impressive across the board as the beautiful “Candy Apple Red” has only been subtly reliced, resulting in a super authentic appearance. In addition to the fantastic playing characteristics and the fascinating look the sound produced by the two handwound pickups is a natural match. A “Handwound Twisted Tele” on the neck and a “Handwound OBG” on the bridge deliver the classic Tele sound that we love these guitars for: beautifully direct, wiry, fat with a great attack at the bridge, but always round and never too sharp. In the intermediate position it's nicely bell-like and great for clean and distorted sounds. Simply pure Blues on the neck! Fat, differentiated, bell-like Tele sound that is 100% convincing both clean and distorted. We are delighted to be able to offer you this special '61 Limited in mint condition.
