The Fender Masterbuilt Custom Shop version of the Andy Summers (The Police) Telecaster is an exact reproduction of his favorite tele. This copy is Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler. Every paint flaw, every crack and of course the sophisticated electronics are just like the original. Played dry a typical Telecaster with great vibration characteristics and fat, wooden sound. The amp shows the Soundchameleon. On the bridge is a 63' Customshop pickup, very cracking and biting with lots of twang. At the neck is a Seymour Duncan SH-1N 59, which delivers fat, Gibson-like sounds. Very warm and round, can also be jazzy. In the middle position you can turn the phase thanks to the minitoggle switch. So you have two sound variations here, from the classic tele intermediate position to the out-of-phase funk you have everything at the start. In addition, there is another toggle switch on the guitar, including another knob. Here you can switch on a preamp/overdrive and adjust it with the knob. Very good idea, just turn it up for a solo and you have everything on the guitar. The instrument is in great condition. The frets show no signs of playing. And by the way ... there are only 250 pieces of the Andy Summers worldwide, which makes it a collector's item.
