A heavy-relic Paisley Tele from currently the hottest masterbuilder Vincent van Trigt in mint condition, ...could it actually get any better? We asked ourselves this question when we opened the case of the '68 Telecaster at hand. The look of this guitar is reminiscent of the Summer of Love and the flower power movement of 1967, which among other things significantly influenced mainstream fashion worldwide. And Fender was also on board at the time with its new Blue Flower and Paisley Telecasters. Vincent van Trigt took the latter as a model for his own Paisley reissue, which he gave his unmistakable signature. He placed great emphasis on the roadworn look with an extremely weathered patina and increased abrasion in the characteristic areas. In addition, he has achieved a wonderfully dark gold tone, which only makes the appearance of this Tele even more authentic. When it came to the sound of the guitar he used handwound "Empire Red Hot" pickups, which are the hottest-wound Tele pickups. This is where it really goes off in distortion mode, but in clean mode they still produce a wonderfully warm and crystal-clear tone, ...but with an additional dash of fire that really makes them sing! And the Telecaster's playability is also convincing across the board with its "60 Style Oval C" neck profile, 9.5'' fingerboard radius and 6105 Narrow/Tall frets. Fits well in the hand and is extremely comfortable to play. You certainly shouldn't wait too long here, as on the one hand a Paisley Tele certainly offers a very special rarity value and on the other hand the waiting times for van Trigt instruments are now beyond good and bad. Just enjoy the "Summer of Love"!
