The events of 1967 influenced societies, politics, fashion and much more worldwide in a variety of ways. Among other things the model policy at Fender, which found its direct expression in the new Blue Flower and Paisley Telecasters. We are pleased to be able to offer you Dale's very own interpretation of a Paisley Tele, which immediately impresses with its beautiful gold finish, which looks almost beige in the more distressed areas, and its pink focal point around the neck pickup immediately catches the eye. The great vintage finish, punctuated by countless hairline cracks and significant abrasion in all the right places, gives the impression that this Tele could tell one story or another about the past six decades. The paintwork and fingerboard also have a beautiful patina that you don't often see. It's the same with the sound of this phenomenal work of art: with a handwound "Twisted Tele" pickup on the neck and a handwound "63 Tele" on the bridge Wilson produces the classic Telecaster sound: twangy, lively with sufficient mids, never shrill or shrill bright, dynamic and transparent. As a special treat, we have a four-way switch that allows you to switch the neck and bridge pickups in parallel or in series. And of course this guitar is also fantastic to play with its "60 Style Oval C" neck profile, 9.5'' radius and the proven 6105 Narrow/Tall frets, so you won't want to put it down. Dale Wilson, one of the hottest masterbuilders in the Fender Custom Shop, is currently no longer accepting any more orders and the waiting times for his instruments are now around 10(!) years. If you can then secure one of his extremely rare Paisley Teles, that is of course something very special. And the whole thing is including the frets in mint condition. It couldn't be any better!
