A '68 Telecaster in Paisley Heavy Relic by masterbuilder Dale Wilson... Does it actually get any better than this? The look of this exceptional guitar represents a reminiscence of the Summer of Love and the 1967 Flower Power movement, which influenced mainstream fashion worldwide and model policy at Fender through the new Blue Flower and Paisley Telecasters. Dale Wilson's own Paisley reissue captivates with a discreet gold finish, which already looks beige in the yellowed areas, and a great aging, which by countless hairline cracks, as well as considerable abrasion in the right places gives the impression as if this Tele was in heavy use since 1967. The finish, as well as the fingerboard show a beautiful patina that is hard to get enough of. The same goes for the sound of this phenomenal work of art: Wilson's hand-wound Twisted-Tele pickup on the neck and 63-Tele on the bridge produce the classic Tele sound, twangy, lively with sufficient mids, never shrill or garish, dynamic and transparent. In addition, the guitar plays fantastic with its 60-style Oval-C neck profile, 9.5'' radius and the proven 6105-Narrow/Tall frets, so you won't want to put it down. Dale Wilson as one of the hottest masterbuilders in the Fender Custom Shop is currently not taking any more orders and the wait times for a new Wilson are now beyond six years. So, if you can secure one of his Paisley Teles with considerable rarity value, that is of course something very special. Therefore, we are pleased to offer this rare gem from collector's hand in mint condition without any playing marks on the frets.
