If you are looking for a Tele with ultimate playing fun and absolute killer sound, ...here it is! This '55 Telecaster from masterbuilder Dale Wilson has to be given full marks in every category. With its stripped back neck and super comfortable “Large C” profile the guitar feels fantastic in the hand, so you just want to play it! Thanks to the perfectly dressed Narrow/Tall frets and the modern 9.5” fretboard radius you just fly over the fretboard. And then there's the sound! Already very loud, resonant and direct when played dry, on the ampb it is such a joy to play that you'll never want to pick up another Tele again. This is ensured by two “Handwound 58” pickups, which can be wonderfully bell-like and full on the one hand, but also extremely concise and aggressive, not to say “dirty”, when required. In terms of sound, this soundmighty Tele really has everything you could wish for. Super attack, pearly, wiry, twangy without ever sounding thin, ...that's how Tele should be! And the look speaks for itself. The grippy maple fingerboard and the body in wonderful yellowed “Aged White Blonde” are really beautifully “rocked”. Several paint-free areas and countless minor and major blemishes show how meticulously and detail-obsessed Dale works. The white-aged pickguard is a perfect match. As always with Wilson guitars, one highlight follows the next and the aging is absolutely top class! And as the icing on the cake the Telecaster comes to its future owner including the frets in mint condition.
