Fender Telecaster 54 Willcutt Relic Masterbuilt Todd Krause (2021)

American guitar dealer Willcutt Guitars has teamed up with the Fender Custom Shop to release what they call the extremely limited "Vault" editions. In doing so they take an individual old vintage Fender as a model and replicate it meticulously and with the utmost attention to detail. This fourth "Vault" edition is a '54 Blackguard Tele with the original serial number 2826, one of the rarest versions of a 1954 Tele that underwent multiple changes throughout 1954. Masterbuilder Todd Krause paid special attention here to wood selection and a super-light ash body, as well as exclusive "Handwound Josefina" pickups designed and wound to closely match the tone and tuning of the original '54. In addition he meticulously replicated the early '54 body contour, neck carve, custom blonde finish and gave the Tele an enormously authentic vintage look here with only a subtle relic treatment. Even the pickguard was modeled after the original and the original serial number 2826 was also stamped on the bridge plate. You really think you're holding a real '54 in your hands. In addition, this Telecaster ensures the greatest playing pleasure and a killer sound! The "Original 54" neck profile in combination with the 9.5'' radius and the proven Narrow/Tall frets are really excellent and comfortable to play. The "Handwound 51 Nocaster" pickups deliver to the amp a wonderfully full sound with a richness and complexity that it is a real pleasure.
