There are hardly any guitars that are requested from us more often than Blackguard Teles by Dale Wilson. Unfortunately, we rarely get to see one ourselves, but each time we are delighted by the fantastic mojo of these instruments. This '54 Blackguard is once again a prime example of a Wilson Tele! Every relicing trace looks just incredibly authentic - whether it's the paint marks in the razor-thin nitro finish or the oxidation of the metal parts. As always, the back of the neck has been stripped of the varnish, making the not-too-thick C profile feel even better in the hand. In terms of playing comfort, we are definitely not in 1954 here, but at the most modern level. However, it is just as resonant as the vintage originals and the Handwound Twisted Tele pickups provide the best twang. Fast attack and conciseness meets Bell Tone at its finest. Simply a killer telesound from country to blues rock to ... actually everything, because good Teles are for us the all-round guitars par excellence! As a special feature we have here a 4-way switch. In addition to the three standard teles positions, an out-of-phase position with both pickups is added here, with which wonderfully silky clean sounds can be realized. We can offer you the guitar with a dream weight of only 3.16 kg in top condition.
