Telecasters with humbuckers on the neck are a popular variant of the classic, but always run the risk of sounding relatively unbalanced. If the pickups don't match exactly, you end up with different guitars in different positions. However, when masterbuilder Ron Thorn designs such an instrument, things look different: This 52 Tele comes with a Seymour Duncan Antiquity humbucker on the neck and a Handwound Crushed Blackguard Tele singlecoil on the bridge, making it sound 100% of a piece. The four positions deliver all the Tele sounds you know and love, plus a fat lead sound at the neck position. From twangy country to sparkling funk to a creamy lead sound with edge, everything is here in top form. And with excellent playability thanks to the neck with "60s Style Oval C" profile, 9.5" radius and 6105-"Narrow Tall" frets. Visually, the guitar is also a stunner. It comes in the TCP variant, which stands for "Time Capsule Finish." This means that not the slightest aging has been done here. The wow effect, however, is provided by the beautiful grain of the ash body, which is set off by the very thin nitro lacquer. We can offer you this unique Tele in mint condition!
