Since Keith Richards presented an all-black Telecaster with maple neck on the international stages Teles with this very characteristic look are enormously sought-after. So we are happy to present you here an interpretation of masterbuilder Greg Fessler. Of course this guitar immediately captivates with Fessler's very own relicing, in which he makes the thermo-treated ash wood and its structure partially visible through the thin varnish of the body, in addition to the usual hairline cracks, quirks and abrasion spots. Matching the rocked, black vintage patina a medium-brown roasted maple neck is used here, which fretboard has been strongly aged. All in all simply a top look, pure Rock'n'Roll! The Fessler vibe is also immediately noticeable in the playability. Greg knows how to build guitars in the very best manner, which you take in your hand and immediately feel comfortable. This is also the case with this Telecaster, which weighs only 3010 grams(!), whose neck with stripped back, 9.5'' radius and Large-C profile feels great in the hand and can be played like butter in combination with the proven Narrow/Tall frets. The great feel is of course in no way inferior to the sound: the Josefina handwound pickups (neck: Twisted Tele, bridge: OBG) deliver the classic Tele sound for which we love these guitars: at the bridge nice and direct, wiry, fat with a great attack, but always round and never too sharp. In the intermediate position nice and belly and great for clean and distorted sounds. At the neck just pure Blues! Fat, differentiated, bell-like Tele sound, which is 100% convincing both clean and distorted. This guitar, which has a list price of EUR 8,990, comes to its future owner in mint condition. This phenomenal total package should not be missed!
