Here we have an absolute rarity from the early work of custom store legend Dale Wilson. This '52 Bigsby Tele, dated December 17, 2010, dates back to his days as a Masterbuilder Apprentice. It was exhibited at the 2011 Namm Show along with another Tele from the series and is dated even earlier than the identical Tele. Unlike the second Tele, where he already had Masterbuilder status, with this Tele he still had his so-called Apprentice status. So you could say this Tele was Dale Wilson's entry into the world of masterbuilders. He has also already immortalized himself on this guitar with his signature on the back of the headstock. A special treat for anyone interested in the history of the Fender Custom Shop. Especially since you can already see here everything that later made Dale one of the - if not the - most sought-after master builders: a great aging with rich colors and super-thin finish, wonderful playability with a powerful 50s neck profile and of course, straight sound. We especially liked the very natural compression of the pickups here, which make the guitar sound very balanced and round. Enough twang it still has, of course, to make classic Tele riffs heard at their best. We are happy to offer you this historic gem in top condition.
