If you could wish for the specs of a Telecaster, many of us would probably end up with this guitar. What a fantastic combination of hand-wound Josefina pickups! A "Texas Special" on the neck, which comes across as really fat, differentiated and super bell-like, a dream both clean and distorted! And a slightly more hotly wound "Empire Red Hot" in the bridge position, which is beautifully open, direct, wiry and convincing with sufficient mids and always remains round and never too sharp. Super open and resonant sound with a great attack. Just what you want from a 50 Tele! The look of this Heavy Relic Tele is of course immediately reminiscent of one of Keith Richards' favorite instruments. It is extremely rare to be lucky enough to hold a black Tele from masterbuilder Dale Wilson in your hands and if you consider his current waiting times of around 10(!) years, such dream guitars will only become rarer. Perfect vintage finish with all kinds of nicks, hairline cracks and abrasions, ...authenticity at its very best! In addition this Tele is also super comfortable to play with its extremely pleasant "60 Style Oval C" profile, 9.5'' fingerboard radius, the proven Narrow/Tall frets, the lacquer-free back of the neck and an ideal weight of just 3190 grams.
