In 1951 the guitar formerly known as the “Broadcaster” was given a new, unusual name, which marked the beginning of the phenomenal triumph of the “Telecaster”. Over the years a humbucker in the neck position has proved to be one of the most popular modifications. The look of this limited edition 52 Blackguard Tele with this mod is of course immediately reminiscent of Keith Richards' favorite instrument called “Micawber”. Perfect relicing that only enhances the beauty of the authentic Butterscotch color of the ultra-thin “Flash Coat” finish. The comfortable neck with its “10/56 V” profile and 7.25-9.5'' fretboard radius combined with the 50085 frets ensures the very best playability. In addition, the neck has been lightly sanded and oiled on the back as an upgrade to optimize the haptic experience and the first-class playing characteristics of the guitar. The combination of a classic Seymour Duncan “SH-55” on the neck with a handwound “Crushed Blackguard” singlecoil on the bridge delivers an absolute killer sound. The Seymour Duncan offers the balanced sound of Seth Lover's legendary P.A.F. humbuckers and with the “Handwound Crushed Blackguard” you get everything you could wish for from an exceptional Tele: twang, attack, bell-like and great tone! The combination of the two in the intermediate position is particularly convincing thanks to the “Dual Stack HS” wiring, which allows you to switch between 500k and 250k: wonderfully balanced and defined Keith Richards sounds without any mud or muck. Of course a little fatter on the neck, super bluesy. And at the bridge it doesn't just blow your socks off when distorted.
