Fender Stratocaster Voodoo Child Jimi Hendrix Signature (2018)

Jimi Hendrix, the guitar god who died far too young and revolutionized Rock music forever. One guitar in particular will always be associated with him: a right-handed Strat that he simply turned around, restrung and then played as a lefty. In 2018 the Fender Custom Shop released a limited edition hommage to this iconic guitar: the Voodoo Child! And this Journeyman Strat really does have voodoo. Of course he highlight is that you get the reversed headstock and the left-handed pickup position, just like Jimi on the original, but as a right-hander. In keeping with Journeyman relicing we only have a light aging with lots of weather-checking and hairline cracks, but without any major dings and dongs. Modern feel with a 9.5” radius, the proven Narrow/Tall frets and a medium ‘66 Strat Oval C’ neck profile. But the absolute hit is the sound! Hendrix bell tone at its very best! This is ensured by the “Handwound 69” pickups, which reproduce the exact sound of the late 1960s. “All Along the Watchtower”, ‘Voodoo Child’, ‘Purple Haze’ and ‘Hey Joe’, ... it's hardly surprising that these are the preferred sounds of this Stratocaster. Typically bell-like, smacky and really nice and sparkling in the intermediate position. The guitar, which enchants with its super rare “Black” finish, is in top condition and the included strap has not even been removed from the original packaging.
