Masterbuilt Gallagher Strats are already extremely rare birds, but there have only been a handful of examples of Vincent van Trigt, the absolute shooting star of the Fender Custom Shop. This means that this van Trigt/Gallagher is probably one of the rarest Stratocasters currently on the market. And what Vincent has conjured up here is simply in a class of its own. You only have to take a look at the greasy top and the relicing of the headstock to understand van Trigt's meticulousness and obsession with detail. We've had our hands on many Gallaghers, from the regular Custom Shop model to the individual interpretations of various masterbuilders. But none of these signature guitars could show such an extremely authentic patina. You believe this guitar has been worked really hard by Rory over decades and that he gradually destroyed the Sunburst finish with his supposedly extremely acidic sweat. And you believe that this guitar has been left in a damp creek bed for a long time. Of course this Gallagher tribute as expected also sounds beautifully gnarled and woody. Transparent and clear the three “60 Strat” singlecoils let single notes and chords bubble out of the amp. With a push on the distortion, the guitar then blossoms completely and provides screaming lead sounds and rocking rhythm riffs as you would expect from master Rory. If you're used to warmer Strats, you'll have to get used to it a little - but if you want to play aggressive Blues Rock authentically, this is the ultimate tool. The playing comfort is first class thanks to the “60 Style Oval C” neck profile, 9.5” radius and the great Medium Jumbo frets. We are therefore very delighted to be able to offer you this special Strat including the frets in mint condition.
