Fender Stratocaster Nile Rodgers "The Hitmaker'" Limited Edition Heavy Relic (2014)

Who doesn't know the incomparable guitar sound of Nile Rodgers? Whether it's Chic's “Le Freak”, David Bowie's “Let's Dance” or “Upside Down” by Diana Ross, the much-honored musician enchants us each time with his fascinating sounds, which he recorded with his 1960 Stratocaster, later known as “The Hitmaker”. Nile Rodgers acquired this guitar, which has a 59 neck, in 1973 in a small store in Miami Beach. It served as a model in 2014 when the Fender Custom Shop released a detailed replica in a strictly limited edition. Since a specimen of this series is very rare, we are extremely pleased to be able to offer you this Hitmaker. ...and what a stunning instrument! Incredible tone that is balanced, defined and lively. The light alder body resonates fantastically. As this is a hardtail Strat the direct connection between the bridge and body also provides an additional portion of sustain, attack and tone. You can literally feel how this guitar vibrates in your hands, even when it's not plugged in. The “Handwound 69” pickups pass this phenomenal basic character on to the amp in the very best way. The bridge pickup is full and warm with a nice bite, especially in the mid-range. The neck pickup is amazingly pearly and radiant with outstanding clarity. Positions 2 and 4 are perfect for funky rhythm playing and crunchy Blues leads. A fantastic choice for Blues and Rock solos! The neck with a Custom C” profile and 9.5'' fretboard radius is rather thin, but feels great as soon as you pick it up. In combination with the great Narrow/Jumbo frets it plays really quickly and easily. Of course the look of the Stratocaster is also fascinating. Wonderfully yellowed “Olympic White” finish with a super authentic Heavy Relicing that faithfully reproduces the traces of use of the original. And of course the characteristic chrome-plated pickguard is also a must. Apart from slight signs of wear on the frets this hardtail Strat comes to its future owner in top condition.
