We are pleased to offer you a special guitar from Fender's Teambuilt department: a Limited Edition 55 Dual-Mag Stratocaster in Aged Taos Turquoise Relic with an aged, gold-anodized aluminum pickguard. We hadn't seen this combination before either and were immediately thrilled. Now that's a real stage Strat! It comes from the property of cabaret artist, musician and composer Willy Astor. The guitar combines a rather beefy 54 soft-V neck profile with a 7.25-9.5'' compound radius and 6105-Narrow/Tall frets, resulting in a killer feel between 50s charm and modern comfort. The stripped neck back adds an extra comfort factor. The "Dual Mag" stands for the two different magnets in the same pickup: an Alnico-5 magnet was used for the lower strings and an Alnico-2 for the upper strings. This prevents the upper two strings from being transmitted too softly and too harshly. In practice the guitar delivers the ideal 50s maple neck tone: lots of substance and sustain meets great attack and percussiveness. This well-balanced sound is really fun and you won't want to stop playing pearly chords, funky riffs and gritty blues licks here. This limited Strat is really something out of the ordinary and as a player almost on Masterbuilt level. We offer it to you in mint condition with no playwear on the frets.
