This Stratocaster HBS-1 Relic represents the perfect combination of the traditional and the modern. On the one hand it has a classic look with a subtly reliced “Olympic White” in an exclusive “Thinskin” nitro finish. And the best, extremely bell-like singlecoil sounds are conjured up by the famous “Custom 69” pickups on the neck and in the middle. On the other hand, you can also look forward to singing lead sounds and a fat Rock board from the Seymour Duncan SH4 humbucker at the bridge, as well as many features that make the life of every musician easier and even more multifaceted. The first thing to mention is that there is no need to remove the neck to adjust the truss rod. Any adjustments to the truss rod are easily accessible from the headstock. In addition, the pleasant “57 Soft V” neck profile sits pleasantly in the hand and is extremely comfortable to play in conjunction with the modern 9.5” fingerboard radius and 22(!) Medium/Jumbo frets. In addition to the humbucker split there is also an S1 switch and a blend control to switch the neck pickup continuously to the humbucker. All in all, a great working guitar that combines the best of almost all worlds and comes to its future owner in top condition.
