Fender Stratocaster American Classic Black Holo Flake (1994)
Fender Stratocaster American Classic Black Holo Flake (1994)
Here we have a Strat from the early days of the Fender Custom Shop. The "American Classic" was in the 1994 line-up the noble version of the American Standard Stratocaster, which came optionally with rosewood or maple neck and in three special finishes. Here we have the version with rosewood fingerboard and "Black Holo-Flake" finish, which in combination with the white pearl pickguard gives the guitar a great show look for stage lighting. The "Chrome American Standard" hardware was quite modern at the time whereas the Custom Shop Texas Special singlecoils were supposed to provide classic Blues and Rock sound. In fact the guitar sounds very lively, direct and in the intermediate positions incredibly silky and funky. At the neck in addition bell-like Blues sound, at the bridge an almost Tele-like Country twang - what more could you want? The neck made of "Lightly Figured Eastern Hardrock Maple" with the Medium Jumbo frets still plays great even for today's demands. In addition, the guitar including the frets is in absolute top condition. A piece of history with perfect practical value!
