Here we have again a treat for all friends of the big Fender headstock! This distinctive feature of the late 60s and 70s Strats looks particularly good on this 69 of Dale Wilson thanks to dark "Tint" - especially in conjunction with Dale's fantastic relicing on the body of the guitar. In terms of playability, the neck once again stands out in a particularly positive way. Dale Wilson's interpretation of the "60s style oval C" profile is always fantastic in the hand, and here it has turned out nice and medium slinky. Together with the lacquer-free back, 6105 jumbo frets and 9.5" fretboard radius, the result is a comfortable playing feel that invites you to dash. The biggest highlight here, however, is the sound of the Fat-60s single coils hand-wound by Josefina Campos. As the name suggests, these pickups just sound particularly fat and juicy without sacrificing anything in terms of clarity and definition. Who clean as well as distorted likes a full Strat sound, comes here fully at his expense. Thanks to the center pickup in reverse sound/reverse polarity circuit, you hardly have to deal with pickup hum in the intermediate positions. So once again, every detail has been thought of to conjure up the ultimate '69 Strat! We are happy to offer you this guitar in mint, almost unplayed condition.
