This '69 Heavy Relic Strat is from the so-called Garage Mod series by master builder Jason Smith. At the end of the 60s and beginning of the 70s, Strats were tinkered with a lot to make them individual. Jason Smith has taken a few of these modified originals and rebuilt them in detail by hand. What's striking here is the awesome look. Candy Apple Red and a merciless, super authentic Heavy Relicing. The pickups are two Handwired Red Hot Strat (neck and mid) singlecoils and a Handwired Tele Texas Special in the bridge. Twang meets fat Strat sounds! Thanks to the ingenious On/Off switch, the neck pickup can always be switched to. Pure sound variety! The 1969 U-neck profile feels great in the hand and is not too chunky and fat. 6100 jumbo frets and a super comfortable 12" radius round out this mega strat.
