With this '63 Strat in super authentic “3-Tone Sunburst” Greg Fessler impressively demonstrates that he belongs to the absolute top league in the Fender Custom Shop. It's not for nothing that his dream instruments are so sought after! With this Strat he has not been stingy with extra options. He installed an assorted alder body and pickups specially handwound by Josefina Campos. And the combination of pickups is simply perfect for delivering all the classic Strat sounds in the best possible way: 69 on the neck, “Fat 50” in the middle and “Texas Special” on the bridge (including RWRP noise suppression). Just the right combination for super bell-like sounds at the neck, pithy tones in the middle, silky in the intermediate positions and wiry at the bridge. But the look is in no way inferior to the sound! Fessler knows how to give a guitar a first-class relicing and shows no restraint here. Countless hairline cracks, quirks and paint-free areas are paired with a partly matt, partly greasy vintage patina that is a real feast for the eyes. As a perfect match comes the medium brown roasted neck, which also has the best influence on the vibration behavior of the guitar. The 9.5” fingerboard radius, the cool Medium/Jumbo frets, a lacquer-free back of the neck and the pleasant "60 Style Oval C" profile also ensure the very best playing characteristics on this extremely resonant Stratocaster, making it a pleasure to whizz over the slightly more powerful neck.
