This 1963 Closet Classic Strat from the Fender Custom Shop is not only an exceptional Strat in terms of sound, but also visually. When you open the case you are immediately blown away by the beautiful “Candy Apple Red” finish. Together with the fantastic Closet Classic relicing, which is basically very subtle and mainly limited to numerous hairline cracks, this Strat is an absolute eye-catcher. And when the stage light falls on the guitar, all eyes are sure to be drawn to it. The specs are also top-notch: the pleasant, slightly slimmer medium neck (.820-.870'') with its “Modern C” profile, 9.5” radius and ‘Medium Vintage’ frets ensures a modern playing feel. The pickups used are “Fat 60's”, which provide an authentic and above all fat 60s bell tone. A juicy, smacking sound without compromising on clarity and definition. Never sharp, this Strat comes across as wonderfully bulbous, full and warm. The intermediate positions in particular are a top sound experience. All in all, a perfect feel-good Stratocaster that we can offer you in top condition.
