Here we have something very special again from Dale Wilson: a 1961 Stratocaster, in which the master spoils us with a really incredibly beautiful “Faded 3-Color Sunburst”. And the whole thing comes with a deep dark rosewood fingerboard and an era-appropriate greenguard. A grandiose rocked appearance, whereby it is great that the red color of the finish is not neglected here. With all these signs of aging you could be forgiven for thinking that this Strat had been roaming the clubs for decades. Thousands of small and large dents, countless hairline cracks in the matt finish and the perfectly placed, lacquer-free areas make it clear why Dale Wilson is considered one of the best in his field. But of course the guitar is simply exceptional, both inside and out! As the name suggests, the “Josefina Handwound 50's” have their very own 1950's character and provide perfectly brilliant, clear sounds with plenty of twang on the amp. Beautifully warm and with enough substance for cool crunch and even heavily distorted sounds. From super-clean to dirty-bluesy, the Stratocaster covers everything in the best possible way. The neck with its “60 Style Oval C” profile, modern 7.25''-9.5” compound radius, lacquer-free back and 0155 frets also makes the guitar a great player that you won't want to stop playing. Dale Wilson is one of the hottest masterbuilders in the Fender Custom Shop and is currently not accepting any new orders. Since the current waiting times for his instruments are now over 10 years(!) we are all the more pleased to be able to offer you this absolute gem in mint condition.
