Here we have again something very special for you: a 1961 Stratocaster, where the master Dale Wilson spoils us with the really special color combination "Firemist Silver over 3-Tone Sunburst". And the whole thing with a beautifully flamed neck back, as well as a heavily aged lacquer, which gives the finish a really terrific rocked look, where you could think that this guitar has been roaming the clubs for decades. A thousand little cracks and hairlines make it clear why Dale Wilson is considered one of the best in his field. But of course the guitar is simply exceptional on the outside, as well as the inside. As the name suggests the Josefina Handwound Fat 60's just sound particularly fat and juicy without sacrificing anything in clarity and definition. Those who like bulbous, full Strat sounds, both clean and distorted, will get their money's worth here. And thanks to the reverse wound/reverse polarity mid pickup you don't have to deal with any pickup hum in the intermediate positions. The neck with its "65 Strat C" profile, 9.5" radius, lacquer-free back and Narrow/Tall frets also makes the guitar a great player that you won't want to stop playing. Dale Wilson is one of the hottest masterbuilders of the Fender Custom Shop and currently no longer accepts new orders. Since at the moment the waiting times for his instruments are up to 10 years(!) we are even more pleased to be able to offer you this gem in top condition with only minimal playing marks on the first frets.
