The idea behind Fender's 2012 DuoTone series was to combine alder and ash in one guitar: the center block of the body is ash, the wings are alder. We don't quite know if it's just the wood combination, of course, but every one of the DuoTone Strats we've gotten our hands on so far has been killer. And this 60s Strat in lightly reliced Vintage White is no exception: once picked up, time just flies by. Especially funky riffs and licks are incredibly fun thanks to the fast response and crisp sound, but also distorted blues licks and riffs sound nice and bell-like. The neck with its rather flat, typical 60s C profile would be just right for gigs lasting several hours, especially since the playing comfort is really on the most modern level thanks to the 9.5" radius and 6105 jumbo frets. A Strat with timeless look, charm and sound that we can recommend to every player. From the original Case Candy is unfortunately only the certificate and the tremolo bar left, but otherwise the guitar comes to you in top condition.
