Fender Stratocaster 60 Relic Masterbuilt Vincent van Trigt (2022)

Certainly a polarizing statement, but we would nevertheless like to claim that Vincent van Trigt is the most fascinating masterbuilder when it comes to authentic relicing. When we opened the case of this 60 we had to lift our jaws from the floor. It's simply sensational how true to life Vincent has captured the look of this Strat. This is exactly what a real old one looks like! Not only is the scuffed and partially matted 3-Tone Sunburst perfectly accurate, van Trigt sets completely new standards in aging. Of course the lacquer-free areas are located at all the characteristic points that are in constant contact with the player and pick. Dings, dongs and hairline cracks have been applied in the most credible quantity and Vincent even went so far in his obsession with detail that he indicated traces of pickguard shrinkage and increased the aging on the pickguard screw, where the ball of the player's hand rests and causes corresponding signs of wear. The feel and sound continue with the incredible closeness to real vintage instruments: this Stratocaster also feels and plays like a real old one! This is ensured by a phenomenal neck with a "59 Esquire C" profile, 10" fingerboard radius and Narrow/Tall frets, as well as the sound of the legendary "Handwound 59" singlecoils. We are dealing with an absolute Blues monster here! Earthy and expressive, as if made for the perfect Blues sound. Lots of smack, great bell-tone and warm with a great attack. From the headstock to the strap pin, this Strat is simply a work of art!
