The sound of the “Handwound 60's” alone is immediately reminiscent of the sounds of Gary's legendary live album “Blues for Jimi”. Together with the great vibration behavior of the guitar the pickups provide an authentic, rich and above all fat 60's bell tone. A juicy, smacking sound without compromising on clarity or definition. If you like full, bulbous Strat sounds, both clean and distorted, you'll get your money's worth here. The playability of the Stratocaster is also first-class as Dale relies on a “66 Style Oval C” neck profile, a 9.5'' fingerboard radius and fast “Medium Jumbo” frets. In keeping with all these super features Wilson, the masterbuilder par excellence, enchants with a legendary look. "Roasted" Alder body and a wonderfully rocked “Fiesta Red”, which has been given an extremely attractive vintage patina through meticulous relicing. Beautifully matt with countless hairline cracks, small and large imperfections and paint abrasion in significant areas.
