In the age of relicing, it has become relatively rare to get a Strat in the NOS version. Here, however, we have a particularly beautiful example that masterbuilder Todd Krause has made look exactly as it would have come out of the factory in 1959. Perhaps the beauty in Fiesta Red and gold hardware would have ended up with Hank Marvin - even though it takes the familiar Hank Marvin specs up a notch with the gold pickup magnets and Birdseye Maple neck. As classic as the looks are - the feel is definitely set in modern times with the comfortable but not too thin "65 Strat C" profile, 9'5" radius and 6105 frets. And that's a good thing, because it makes playing the old Shadows hits twice as much fun! The three Handwound Fat 50s singlecoils provide the perfect sound for this. Brilliant, clear, with lots of twang, but still without harsh highs and with enough belly - that's what you want from a '59 Masterbuilt. Whether it's old Hank Marvin hits, blues, rock, pop or funk, this guitar delivers it all with plenty of character. As a special feature, it comes with a short vibrato lever, like you know it from the David Gilmour Strat. It's the perfect length if you want to add a little tremolo to 50s-style chords - we didn't even want to unscrew it after a short time! We are happy to offer you this special Strat in pristine condition.
