With this '59 Heavy Relic Stratocaster Dale Wilson once again clearly shows why he is one of the absolute superstars of the Fender Custom Shop with waiting times of more than 10 years. What a dream guitar! Incredibly cool “Sonic Blue” finish with only subtle Journeyman relicing, which is limited to numerous hairline cracks, minor quirks and interesting color shades. You can actually smell the cigarette butts here, which appear to have left many traces on the guitar's paintwork. The deep dark roasted neck and the color-matched pickguard are a perfect match. With its “Esquire C” shape and the more modern 9.5'' fingerboard radius the neck of the guitar sits perfectly in the hand and together with the fast 6100 frets can be played perfectly. ...and there is also a deep dark AAA rosewood fingerboard! The pickups are “Handwound 59” pickups, which transmit the wonderfully resonant basic character of the guitar to the amp in the best possible way. Beautifully bell-like, round and pearly with sufficient warmth and fullness. Incredibly lively bell-tone Strat with a great attack! You really feel like you're playing a real, old Stratocaster. Anyone who gets hold of this work of art can already look forward to it, because this really could be the Strat for life! 100 points for looks, handling, playability and sound, ...and all in mint condition!
