Who is looking for the ultimate classic Maple Neck Strat, will have his joy here. The current No. 1 master builder Dale Wilson presents here a 59 Journeyman Relic Strat that really has it all. Select lightweight ash body, AA Flame neck, John Mayer pickups and a Black Anodized pickguard. The neck has a 59 Esquire C Shape that is a bit beefier, but not really fat. Plays great with the 6105 frets. The guitar is super resonant and in combination with the John Mayer pickups a real tone monster. Nice and pearly, bell-like and balanced. As befits a Maple Neck/Ash Strat it is very direct in response, but never gets too sharp or thin in sound. Sounds like it has been played in for a very long time. Dale Wilson proves here again impressively that he not only knows how optics, but also sound works. The guitar is in top condition, as good as new.
