What a great Strat! Simply great, what Ron Thorn delivers here. Just like the last Ron Thorn Strats, everything is just right. Top look and aging, best resonance behavior, super processing and sound and playability at the highest level. When first playing the resonant lightweight (3210 grams) convinced them already dry fully and completely. Handwound Josefinas 57s are used as pickups. Here it really pearls and the sought-after Bell tone unfolds fully and completely on the amp. When distorted and cranked up, the sound is really fat and bell-like Texas blues with excellent attack dynamics. Every nuance of the player is immediately transmitted. The neck with the 59 Esquire C profile is already a bit more powerful, but of course this again affects the tone. 9,5" radius with 6105 frets. Somehow you just have to think of Stevie Ray Vaughan with this Strat. And I can imagine that Ron Thorn had the same associations when building this top Strat. The guitar is in top condition!
