With this '59 Heavy Relic Strat Dale Wilson once again demonstrates the upper end of the aging art. Black finish with almost matte vintage patina, refined with a not at all subtle heavy-relicing. Here, in addition to countless hairline cracks as well as small and large quirks considerable abrasion is evident, giving the guitar an appearance as if it had been Rory Gallagher's constant companion for decades. And this impressive look is just a small taste of the sound you can expect from this top-of-the-line Strat. Already dry played this absolute lightweight (only 3175 grams) reveals itself as a true vibrating beast. Then at the amp it shows its full potential as the handwound Fat 60s singlecoils deliver a fantastically fat, juicy and warm sound, which is nevertheless extremely clear, defined and transparent. Those who like bulbous, full Strat sounds, both clean and distorted, will get their money's worth here. Thanks to the middle pickup, which has a "Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity" circuit, you don't have to deal with pickup hum in the intermediate positions here either. From a playing point of view the neck stands out in a particularly positive way. Dale Wilson's interpretation of the "60s Style Oval C" profile is always fantastic in the hand! Here it has turned out nicely medium slim. Together with the lacquer-free back, the 6105 jumbo frets and the 9.5" fretboard radius the result is an extremely comfortable playing feel that really invites you to go dashing. We are pleased to offer you this guitar, which is exceptional in all areas, in mint condition except for minimal playing marks on the first three frets.
