In 2017 the Fender Custom Shop released in honor of the NAMM show this 1959 Stratocaster as a special limited edition. The first thing that strikes you is of course its great finish in Aged Fiesta Red in combination with the classy heavy relicing, the roasted maple neck and the gold anodized pickguard. But this guitar not only looks extremely good, it is also the ultimate instrument for those who like smacking, bell-rocking sounds á la Stevie Ray Vaughan or Philip Sayce. Absolute Blues and Rock grenade! The Handwound Texas Special pickups couldn't sound better: nice pearly and bright with enough warmth and openness. Super resonance, great sustain and extremely dynamic! Here every single tone is a particularly great pleasure! The whole feel is also of the finest: the neck with its 59-C profile and 9.5'' radius is pleasant and comfortable in the hand, plays fantastically with its lacquer-free back and the grippy, beautiful rosewood fingerboard.
