When a masterbuilder goes so far as to apply artificial dirt to the finish and pickguard of a guitar, you can really feel his unbridled love of detail. This is also the case with this Paul Waller Strat, which makes you feel tempted to use the guitar cleaner as soon as you open the case. It's awesome how Waller has worked on the pickguard here, so that you can't help but think that this Stratocaster has seen the toughest use in countless clubs and bars over the last few years. And the wonderfully yellowed, nicotine-covered finish in "Super Aged Daphne Blue" could probably tell a story or two. Relicing of the absolute top class! The top playability also deserves special mention here: the slightly thicker neck with its "Large C" profile and 9.5'' fretboard radius sits perfectly in the hand and is super comfortable to play in conjunction with the proven Narrow/Tall frets. Simply great, you won't want to put it down! Paul has also put a lot of thought into the combination of pickups in order to optimize the 50s sound. The slightly hotter wound "Handwound Fat 50's" are used on the neck and in the middle: brilliant, pearly, fat and juicy, without sacrificing any clarity and definition. A handwound "Texas Special" singlecoil is used at the bridge, which produces wonderfully smacking, bell-tone Rock sounds à la Philip Sayce or Stevie Ray Vaughan. All classic Strat sounds are excellently served here. Whether Blues, Rock, Pop or Funk, this guitar always delivers in the very best manner and with plenty of character. All in all, a soundmighty masterpiece that we can offer you in top condition.
