Among the early "Custom Colors", which had a close proximity to the popular colors of the automotive industry, "Shell Pink" is a particularly rare and exciting color. Inevitably one thinks of an American road cruiser in this cool color. So it's no surprise that the Fender Custom Shop keeps using this particular hue for the "Relics" modeled after old originals. To the delight of musicians these historic-looking instruments are increasingly equipped with modern features for better playability. This is also the case with this 56 Strat from the 2013 model year, which deviates from the historical model and features a 5-way switch to control the pickups and a fingerboard radius of 9.5″. The 10/56-V neck profile is super comfortable in the hand and plays just great in combination with the lacquer-free neck back and the proven 6105 frets. The guitar is equipped with an alder body, and the single-ply white pickguard and one-piece maple neck (quartersawn) are typical of the period. The aging is wonderfully authentically done. Thanks to the thin nitro finish this Strat immediately reminds you of an old, much-played guitar, both visually and haptically. It is also extraordinarily resonant, which is transmitted to the amp by the Handwound 60's Abby pickups in the best manner. Lots of smack, but the typical pearliness of a 50s Strat is never lost. Clean, distorted or high-gain, here it's huge fun to savor every tone! So we are happy to offer you this special Stratocaster including the frets in top condition.
